Then and Now

Then: In 1935, seven seniors graduated from Spring ISD.

Now: In 2010, 1,998 seniors graduated from Spring ISD.

Then and Now

Then: The salary range for teachers in 1973 was $6,800 to $11,290.

Now: In 2010, the salary range is $44,205 to $58,321.

Then and Now

Then: The national school lunch program was signed into law by President Harry Truman in 1946.

Now: Spring ISD purchased $7,100,000 in food supplies from local vendors and suppliers during the 2009-10 school year.

Then and Now

Then: When Bammel Elementary was constructed in 1965, the size of the building was 51,587 square feet.

Now: The new building consists of 118,161 square feet.
