Amber Holcomb, 2012 graduate of Dekaney High School
Amber Holcomb

Amber Holcomb, a 2012 graduate of Dekaney High School, was a Top 4 contestant on the twelfth season of American Idol. Upon her Top 10 selection, judge and recording star Mariah Carey told Amber, "You have everything that was everything. I'm just happy that people voted for you."

Jamele Mason, Westfield High School Class of 2008
Jamele Mason

Jamele Mason, a 2008 graduate of Westfield High School, represented Puerto Rico in the Men’s 400m hurdles at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Mason graduated from Westfield High School where he established himself as an outstanding athlete in track and field. While at Westfield, Mason was All-American in the 60m hurdles, 2008 Nike Indoor National finalist; two-time district and regional champ in the 300m hurdles; state runner-up in the 300m hurdles in 2008; finished 3rd at the Jr. Olympics in the 400m hurdles in 2007; and three-time champion in the 300m hurdles at the TSU relays. His best times are a 7.8 in the 60m hurdles, 13.44 in the 110m hurdles, 36.7 in the 300m hurdles and 52.2 in the 400m hurdles.

Dr. Phil Schubert, Westfield High School graduate
Dr. Phil Schubert

Dr. Phil Schubert, Westfield High School graduate, is currently the 11th president of Abilene Christian University. Previously, he served as executive vice president at ACU and was responsible for the development and coordination of university-wide strategic planning as well as the oversight of operational areas, including ACU's admissions and recruiting, marketing, university relations, finance, information services, facilities and human resources. During his 16 years on campus, he served as vice president for finance and administration, chief financial officer, director of financial operations, director of student financial services and development officer. Schubert received his Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from ACU, his Master of Business Administration from Duke University and his doctorate in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania.

Tony Ugoh, Westfield High School Class of 2002
Tony Ugoh

Tony Ugoh, Westfield High School Class of 2002, was a member of the 2011 world champion New York Giants football team. After Westfield, Tony went on to play football for and graduate from the University of Arkansas. Congratulations, Tony.
