Kindergarten Requirements
All-day kindergarten classes are offered districtwide for children who will be five years old on or before Sept. 1 of the current school year. Registration for kindergarten is voluntary, however, once a child enrolls for kindergarten, he or she becomes subject to the state’s compulsory attendance law. That law requires a student to be in attendance at least 90 percent of the days that school is in session in order to receive credit.
School Supplies
School supply requirements vary from school to school. For a list of supplies your child will need for the 2012-13 school year, visit your school’s website (click 'Schools' in the navigation menu above). Supply lists are also available at most area retailers who sell school supplies.
