HOUSTON - July 25, 2012 - Sign up for a day of fellowship, fundraising and golf at the Spring ISD Education Foundation’s annual “Tee Up for Education” golf tournament Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Cypresswood Golf Club. Tee off is at noon, and the tournament includes lunch, dinner, a golf clinic with Mancil Davis and access to the exclusive TaylorMade Store.

The 2011 golf tournament raised over $40,000 for the foundation for innovative teacher grants and student scholarships. Since its inception, the Spring ISD Education Foundation has awarded $892,869 in innovative teacher grants and $184,000 in student scholarships. The mission of the foundation is to provide financial support to those areas that demonstrate a commitment toward enhancing the academic mission of excellence in the district. This is accomplished through direct support of new and innovative academic programs that would otherwise not be funded through traditional sources.
