HOUSTON - July 18, 2012 - Spring ISD will host two New Student Registration Fairs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 28 and Saturday, Aug. 11 at Westfield High School.
These two days offer parents and guardians the one-stop, weekend convenience of registering all their students for all schools at one location and time, which will save them multiple trips to different schools. Representatives from all Spring ISD schools and departments, including child nutrition and transportation, will be available at the fairs to answer questions and assist with registration.
To meet registration requirements and speed up the process, parents should bring a certified copy of their child’s birth certificate or passport, a current immunization record signed by a physician or physician’s designee, proof of residence in Spring ISD (natural gas or electric bill or original lease agreement), Social Security card (if not available, the students will be assigned a state identification number), legal guardian’s Texas driver’s license or Texas Department of Transportation identification card (if the parent or guardian does not have a Texas driver’s license or a TxDOT ID card, other photo ID will be considered in combination with a birth certificate), a most-recent report card and withdrawal form from their previous school, and a high school transcript if applicable.
Parents and guardians of students new to the district who are unable to attend one of the two registration fairs may register at the schools their children will be attending from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays now through Aug. 23.
For more information and registration forms, parents may go online at www.springisd.org/registration, call the school where their child will be attending or call 281-891-6000.
