Spring ISD provides free bus transportation to all students who live more than one-fourth mile from the front door of their school. The District uses Edulog’s online Web Query to help parents determine the school their child is eligible to attend, their child’s bus stop and bus number, and when the bus will pick their child up at the bus stop.
Bus stops are located at a street corner nearest to a student’s house or at the main entrance to a housing complex. Students are asked to be at their bus stop five minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. This information applies to students in kindergarten through twelfth grade who receive regular transportation, not prekindergarten or special needs students.
Parents need to be aware that students do not have to be met by a parent or a guardian before they are allowed to get off the bus.
Parents who are uncomfortable with their children waiting or getting off the bus at an unsupervised site may choose to accompany their child at the bus stop. Parents who choose to meet their child at the bus stop need to allow plenty of time to be at the site before the bus arrives.
The Edulog system is being updated for the 2008-09 school year and will be accessible online in August. Detailed information is also available by calling your child’s school or the transportation department at 281-891-6490.
