Texas State Assessment

You may access your child's state testing scores from the Texas Student Portal.

The Student Portal is a window in the Texas Assessment website that allows parents and students to view individual student results from the Texas state assessments. Enter the Unique Access Code and your student’s date of birth as provided on the student’s most recent Confidential Student Report and you will gain access to the assessment data in the Student Portal. If you have lost the last Confidential Student Report you may contact your child's campus for this information.

For more information about how to log in to the Student Portal, see the Guide to the Student Portal of the Texas Assessment Management System.

The Texas Education Agency maintains a broad database of assessment-related documents for students and parents, including explanations of test results:

You can find links to information and resources on Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS), including TAKS (Accommodated), TAKS–Modified (TAKS–M), Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS), State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR™), STAAR Alternate, and STAAR Modified on the TEA Assessment Resources for Students and Parents web page.

TAKS: Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills

For the TAKS exit level tests, all registration for out-of-school examinees will be online only. TAKS examinees (including former TAAS and TEAMS examinees) must register online at www.TexasAssessment.com/taksoos. A list of participating campuses can be found at www.TexasAssessment.com/oosTestSites.

Since the TAAS tests are no longer being administered, former TAAS examinees (including former TEAMS examinees) will take the appropriate part of the TAKS exit level English language arts and/or mathematics test(s). TAKS scores will be matched to the appropriate TAAS passing standard.

On the day(s) of testing, examinees should arrive at the test site 30 minutes before the designated testing time. Examinees MUST present picture identification, such as a driver’s license, DPS ID, military ID, school ID, or resident alien card to test. Examinees will not be able to take the test(s) without a picture ID.
