    TRANSPORTATION DIRECTIONS

    Arrival--Students may not be dropped off before 7:30 a.m.

    School starts at 8:00 a.m.  The tardy bell will ring at 8:00 a.m. to indicate if a student is late.  If a student is late they must proceed to the office and receive a tardy pass to enter class.  Breakfast will be served starting at 7:30 a.m.  Students must be in the cafe by 7:55 a.m. to receive breakfast. 

    Walkers--Bammel Elementary walkers will enter through the gym and proceed to the cafeteria or classroom.

    Daycare--Daycare will enter through the far north gate and follow the lane to the back of the cafeteria/gym. Assigned teachers will be stationed to open the door and let your child out of the car. Students will then proceed through the gym for breakfast or to class. Students are considered late or tardy at 8:00 a.m. At 8:00 a.m. there will be no teacher to accept your child at the car rider drop off. Daycare must proceed to the front office with their student to receive a tardy pass. Students cannot be dropped off at the front office without daycare escorting the child into the building and signing them in.

    Car riders--Cars will enter through the far north gate and follow the lane to the back of the cafeteria/gym.  Assigned teachers will be stationed to open the door and let your child out of the car.  Students will then proceed through the cafeteria for breakfast or to class.  Students are considered late or tardy at 8:00 a.m.  At 8:00 a.m. there will be no teacher to accept your child at the car rider drop off.  Parents must proceed to the front office with their student to receive a tardy pass.  Students cannot be dropped off at the front office without a parent escorting the child into the building and signing them in.

    At no time will a parent be allowed into the building without checking in through the front office.

     

     

    Dismissal--Students must be picked up by 3:15 p.m.

    Dismissal of school starts at 3:15 p.m.  After 2:30 p.m. there will be NO transportation changes made or pick ups from the front office according to district policy unless in the event of an extreme emergency.  Any emergency changes must be approved by administration. This policy is in place to protect all of our students. 

    Walkers--Bammel Elementary will have 3 sets of walkers in the afternoon for dismissal.  Walkers will be dismissed after the buses roll.  

              1.  The Westador walkers will leave the school from the cafeteria exit and proceed with teacher supervision to the Westador back gate.  Parents of Westador students will wait at the gate if they are walking their student home.  

              2.  Red Oak North walkers will leave the school through the east exit with teacher supervision.  Parents will wait for their student at the parent's waiting area near the stop sign if they are walking their student home.

             3. Red Oak South walkers will leave the school through the west exit with teacher supervision. Parents will wait for their student at the parent's waiting area at the stop sign if they are walking their student home.


    Buses--
    Will arrive through the front drive and load students at the Pre-K south entrance.

    Daycare--Will enter through the 2nd gate and will proceed to the first sign labeled "daycare."  Daycare will load vans and proceed out the far south gate.

    Car Riders--Cars will enter through the far north gate and follow the lane to the back of the cafeteria/gym.  Cars will be given a number to put on the front dash to represent the child.  Staff will call the number and the student will walk out to the next staff member and load.  Numbers will be given out at the beginning of the school year.  Cars will then exit out the far north gate. 

    At no time will a parent be allowed into the building without checking in through the front office.

    TRANSPORTATION CHANGES

    All transportation changes must be made prior to 2:30 p.m.  This district policy is in place to protect all of our students.To make a transportation change you may send a signed and dated  note to the school with your child.  You may also fax a note, along with a copy of your driver's license and your signature to 281-891-8151. No transportation changes will be accepted over the phone.
