The library at Westfield High School and the Westfield 9th Grade Center is staffed by four librarians and one paraprofessional:

Circulation Policies
Students are issued photo ID cards when they enter WHS. These are permanent barcoded cards which are required for book checkout as long as the student remains at Westfield. Replacement cards are $3.00.  Replacement lanyards are $2.00.

• Regular books may be checked out for a period of two weeks. Reference books and non-current magazines circulate overnight only. A student may check out a maximum of six books at a time. Fines for overdue books are five cents per day for regular books, twenty-five cents per day for reference books and magazines.
• Students who have outstanding fines or overdue books must clear their records before checking out more books, taking final exams, having records transferred, or re-entering Westfield.

The Mustang Library boasts a print collection of approximately 28,000 volumes. In addition, there are forty student computer stations which can simultaneously access the District's central CD-ROM tower with its multiple electronic subject databases, automated computer catalog, word processing tools, online databases, and the Internet. Internet-accessible computers are available for all students who have submitted their Acceptable Use Policy forms.  The library's book catalog and circulation system are completely automated and accessible from all the student stations. Print magazines and daily newspapers also add to the variety of resources available.

Students and staff have free remote access to Gale Resources, Grolier Online and Teaching Books if they have Internet access at home.  Passwords are available upon request.  Call the librarians at 281/586-1389 or pick up a brochure at the circulation desk to obtain access information.

Fundraiser...1% Community Rebates

Randalls is offering a library rebate of 1% when you use your Remarkable Card. The number to have them scan as you check out is 5512. After the first time, we are automatically credited with the rebate.

• We are issuing cards from Kroger which also credit with us a rebate. These are available in the library, so come by and pick yours up! Have it scanned each time you scan your Kroger Frequent Shopper card.
• Any time you make a purchase at Target using your Target charge card, they will "target" us for a rebate if you just verbally designate Westfield High School LIBRARY.
• Copy machines are available in the library.  Black and white copies are ten cents each, and color copies may be made for $.50 each.  School supplies such as poster board, pocket folders, pens, pencils, gel pens, notebook paper, floppy disks, CDRs, and CDRWs are available for purchase.
