Dr. Cesar Alvarez

Dr. Cesar Alvarez has been named the principal at Heritage Elementary School. With more than two decades of experience in public education, Dr. Alvarez most recently served as an Assistant Principal at Westfield High School. Prior to that, he served as a principal in Kansas City, Kansas, where he successfully led efforts to boost attendance and averaged a 15% increase in student achievement across all subjects. A member of the Association of Latino Administration and Superintendents, Dr. Alvarez bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Houston - Downtown. He went on to earn a master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from University of Houston - Victoria, as well as a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston.
