
Patrol Operations

Spring I.S.D. Police Officers assigned to patrol are commissioned peace officers that are assigned to Patrol Operations. Spring I.S.D. Police Officers assigned to monitor specified geographic areas—that is, to move through their areas at regular intervals looking out for any signs of problems of any kind on property controlled by Spring Independent School District.
Spring I.S.D. Police Officers assigned to patrol duties include responding to calls for service, making arrests, resolving disputes, taking crime reports, and conducting traffic enforcement, and other crime prevention measures that contribute to maintaining a safe and secure learning and working environment.

Campus Operations

Spring I.S.D. Police Officers assigned to campuses are commissioned peace officers assigned to Campus Operations. Police Officers assigned to campus are teamed with school administrators in an effort to create a safe learning and working environment for both students and staff. Spring I.S.D. Police Officers have similar responsibilities to mainstream police officers in that they have the ability to make arrests, respond to calls for service, and document incidents that occur on or controlled by the Spring Independent School District.
