Communications

  • The Communications Division of the Spring ISD Police Department is a vital link between members of the SISD Community needing police service and the police officers responding to calls for service. The purpose of the Communications Division is to collaborate with the SISD Community, the department, and other agencies to provide professional services that protect life and resolve problems. SISD Community members needing emergency police response may contact the Department 24 hours a day by dialing 713-891-6911. Non-emergencies may be handled by calling 713-891-7473, the non-emergency line, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Students, parents and community members are encouraged to use the Department’s “Crime Line” at 281-891-6900 to report information anonymously that might affect their safety or security. 

    The Communications Division employs approximately 6 non-sworn employees whose primary responsibility is to provide emergency assistance to the SISD Community. Personnel currently staff two positions within the Division: Call-Taker and Public Safety Dispatcher (PSD). The call-taker takes all in-coming non-emergency and emergency calls, and dispatchers staffs the radio to communicate calls for services to officers in the field. Each position is crucial to providing quality service to the SISD Community.
