Anderson Elementary School

Spring Independent School District

Welcome Message

  • Principal Ms. Kristin Falcon - Principal

    Dear Families,

I am so excited to welcome all of our Anderson Gators back to school for the 2019-2020 school year! This year, we will focus on academic excellence, great character, and of course, finding the leader within all of our students. Anderson is a Leader in Me school, which means our students learn about the Seven Habits of Happy Kids, and how to apply these habits to help them learn personal responsibility, goal setting, and cooperation with others. We look forward to continuing our journey this year.

As a reminder, our school hours this year are 7:35 – 2:55. Doors will open at 7:10, and breakfast will be served (for free!) to all students in the classrooms. Please help us give your child the very best chance for success by having them here on time every day unless they are truly ill. Last year, our campus attendance rate was 95.8%, and our goal for this year is 97%. It will take some work to accomplish this, but we can do it with your help!

We look forward to an exciting, productive year. Thank you for your support, and for entrusting us with your amazing children. It is our honor to serve as their school family, and to help them achieve great things. Together, we will make this the best school year ever!

    Kristin Falcon
    Principal, Anderson Elementary

  • Join Us to Celebrate 40 Years of Gator Pride!

Please join us for Anderson Elementary’s 40th Anniversary Celebration & Leadership Day on Friday, January 24 from 9:00 - 11:00 am! This is a wonderful time to celebrate Anderson’s rich history within the community and experience how our Gators have grown through our Leader in Me journey as a campus.

We will begin with a schoolwide celebration including guest speakers, student performances and our mural dedication in the gym at 9 am. Following the celebration, parents, families and guests will be guided by student leaders through several stations in which they will be able to view student presentations, reflect on our campus’ history and enjoy complimentary refreshments.

You will be asked to choose a “pathway” when you arrive which will determine your schedule for the tour. Our pathways are:

    •Pre-K and Kindergarten
    •1st and 2nd Grade
    •3rd, 4th and 5th Grade

All visitors must provide a valid ID to enter the building.

No lunch visitors will be allowed on this day.

In order to avoid long lines, we encourage parents and guests to please stop by the front office to have their ID pre-scanned before the event. Pre-scanning will allow you to skip the check-in line on January 24 while still providing a safe and secure atmosphere for your students. Pre-scanning will take place Friday, January 17 through Thursday, January 23 between the hours of 8:30 am and 2 pm.

Please call the office at 281-891-8360 if you have any questions. We hope to see you there!

Beginning this fall, Anderson Elementary will have new school hours! Classes will be in session from 7:35 am to 2:55 pm each day. Students may be dropped off at Anderson as early as 7:10 am.

As usual, students arriving after the bell rings at 7:35 am will be considered tardy and must be signed in by a parent or guardian in the front office upon arrival.
