Anderson Elementary School

Spring Independent School District

Welcome Message

  • Principal Ms. Kristin Falcon - Principal

    Dear Families,

I am so excited to welcome all of our Anderson Gators back to school for the 2020-2021 school year! This year, we will focus on academic excellence, great character, and of course, finding the leader within all of our students. Anderson is a Leader in Me school, which means our students learn about the Seven Habits of Happy Kids, and how to apply these habits to help them learn personal responsibility, goal setting, and cooperation with others. We look forward to continuing our journey this year.

As a reminder, our school hours this year are 8:35 am to 3:40 pm. Even though we are beginning the school year with virtual instruction, attendance is just as important as ever. Teachers will be taking attendance every day and students will need to be logged in and present to count. The official attendance-taking time for elementary school is 9:30 am. Please help us give your child the very best chance for success by having them engaged online every day.

We look forward to an exciting year. Thank you for your support, and for entrusting us with your amazing children. It is our honor to serve as their school family, and to help them achieve great things. Together, we will make this the best school year ever!

    Kristin Falcon
    Principal, Anderson Elementary

  • Interested in Attending a Spring ISD School of Choice? Now is the Time to Prepare!

Families who have students in the fifth grade should start planning now to learn more about the district’s schools of choice and how to apply when the online application opens on November 2.

Spring ISD currently has five schools of choice, two at the middle school level and three at the high school level, including a new one housed at Dekaney High School. From Oct. 26 to Oct. 29, all five schools will be hosting virtual information meetings each day at 10 am and 1 pm.

Parents of fifth grade students will be able to learn more about Roberson Middle School and Spring Leadership Academy.

Roberson was recently named a 2020 National Blue Ribbon School and offers middle schoolers four engaging communities to pick from: STEM Engineering, Law Enforcement, Performing Arts and Environmental/Agriculture.

Spring Leadership Academy gives students in grades 6-8 a small-school experience together with leadership and community service opportunities. Students have the opportunity to take part in blended learning, which combines traditional instructional techniques with digital ones. In addition, the school offers classes in the Business Management & Administration career pathway, as well as opportunities to take part in the school’s Leadership Officer Training Corps (LOTC) program.

  • Board of Trustees Approves Revised 2020-21 Instructional Calendar That Ends School Year in Early June

The Spring ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved a revised 2020-21 Instructional Calendar on Thursday, October 8 that reduces the intersession breaks and ends the school year earlier, on June 4.

The board approved Option 1, the calendar recommended by the district’s Advisory Committee on Education as well as the majority of staff, parents and students who responded to the district’s calendar survey.

All students will be learning on the same calendar, instead of having seniors on a different schedule. Under the approved calendar, students and teachers will have a short intersession break on Friday, Oct. 30 and Monday, Nov. 2. In addition, Tuesday, Nov. 3, which is Election Day, is a holiday for staff and students.
