    What is considered a record?

    A record  is any document listed in any of the Retention Schedules (based on the State Library and Archive Commission) posted on the Record Management website.

    What is considered a non-record?

    Convenience copies and other documents not listed under the ‘Retention Schedules & Disposition Log Form’ section of the Records Management website are considered non-records. 


    What type of boxes is authorized for shredding and records retention?

    What do I do with my personnel files and how long should I keep them?

    Personnel file held at campus level are considered convenience copies and can be kept a long as administratively valuable. Once files are no longer needed, you can request for shred as a non- record document.
