Howdy! My name is Marissa Machado and I am very excited to be teaching Pre-K at Anderson Elementary this year. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Agricultural Economics. After graduating, I began my journey in the food distribution industry as a buyer on the purchasing team. I quickly realized that my heart was being called into teaching and I am thrilled to be part of the Anderson Gator family!

If I am not at school, I can be found baking in the kitchen where I love to experiment with new recipes and create delicious sweets. I also really enjoy hanging out with my family and laying back watching movies with my kitten, Holly. I cannot wait to meet my students and their families. I know it is going to be a fantastic year!

Greetings Gators, my name is Ms. Johnson and I am going on my 4th year at Anderson Elementary and my 13th year of teaching in Spring ISD. I will be teaching 2nd grade this year at Anderson. I graduated from the University of Houston, Main Campus. I am a mother of two wonderful toddlers and two adorable Yorkies. I am originally from Wisconsin but have lived here in Texas for a very long time. (Yes, that means I am a Packers fan... a Packers fan first and a Texans fan second!) I look forward to having your little one in my class and seeing my former students in the halls.

Ms. Sandra Suarez, Bilingual Teacher

Hello, parents/guardians.  My name is Sandra E. Suárez and I am the second grade bilingual teacher. I am from Colombia and I have lived in this country for several years. I was a lawyer in Colombia until I married an American and moved to the United States. I got my license as a teacher in this country, and I have been blessed because it is a job that I love. Personal contact with children is something that enriches me and makes each day special. This will be my sixth year at Anderson Elementary, which I call my second home.

I firmly believe that education gives us the tools to make our dreams come true.  That has been and will continue to be one of my philosophies of life. Throughout my life, I have acquired good study habits that I convey to my students, but these aspirations require a team effort between parents and teachers. Together we will help the children to succeed.

Hola padres/tutores.
