    Quick Facts: Africa is the second largest continent in the world. It is also the second largest continent in the world in terms of population. Africa lies in the centre of the earth with the equator passing through its centre. It is the only continent that stretches from the northern temperate to the southern temperate zones.

Mount Kilimanjaro

  • Mount Kilimanjaro, with its three volcanic cones, "Kibo", "Mawenzi", and "Shira", is a dormant volcano in Tanzania. It is the highest mountain in Africa, about 4,900 metres from its base to 5,895 metres above sea level. Wikipedia
