Mrs. Karen Bodiford (Coach)

Greetings!

Let me introduce myself, I am Karen Bodiford, an academic coach at Marshall.  After spending 2 years as a World Language teacher in Dallas, Texas and 14 years as a Dual Language teacher in Jacksonville, Texas (1 year in 3rd grade/13 years in 4th grade), I moved to Spring to be closer to family.  I joined the staff at Marshall Elementary in 2015 as a 4th Grade Math teacher.  In 2016 I accepted the role of Literacy Coach for grades 3-5 and then  moved to the Math coach position in 2017. This year,  I will work as an instructional coach for both ELAR and Math. This is my 6th year as a Marlin, and I feel confident that this will be the best year yet.  I am blessed professionally with a career that I love and very proud to be a part of the Marshall family working in a role that helps grow teachers and students.  In my personal life, I am also blessed to have two wonderful children, one daughter and one son, and two incredible grandchildren.  Any time you see me, I will be happy to share my gbaby pictures.  Yes, I am that grandmother.

Mr. Dan Larson (Digital Learning Coach)

I have been with Spring ISD since 2003. I have taught 3rd and 4th grade math and science. I spent 5 years teaching technology to Kindergarten through 5th grade at Meyer Elementary. I spent a year developing my instructional technology skills while working at the District office. In 2011 I was involved in the opening of Gloria Marshall Elementary. Two years ago I moved again into the computer lab to work with all students using our campus based intervention program.  This year, amid the Covid19 pandemic I have accepted a position at Marshall as the Digital Learning Coach.  I will be assisting all teachers, students and parents as we take this unprecedented step into the virtual classroom.  This is going to be an exciting year full of new learning opportunities. I look forward to working with each of you as we move into a new dimension of learning.
