Ms. Diana DelaFuente

Hola Marlin Family! My name is Ms. Diana DelaFuente. I am very excited about the upcoming school year. I am a self-contained teacher, meaning I teach all content areas: Literacy, Math, Social Studies and Science.

I am proudly going on my 15th year with Spring ISD. I have received various recognitions throughout my career, including Rookie Teacher of the Year, Teacher of the Month, ACE Committee Member of the Month, and the honor of being Recognized by the United States Department of Education!

I earned a General Studies Bachelor’s Degree from Lamar University focusing on three cores:  English, Sociology and Criminal Justice. I made the President’s List and received an award for Most Outstanding Mathematical Student.

I am the mom of an amazing son, Noah, who graduated from Spring HS 2021 and received his welding certification earlier this year, and started a traditional college pathway in January. His goal is to become a family therapist. I also have two fur babies that rescued me, Foxy and Charlie.  🧡🐾🧡

I am a big believer that learning should be fun! I like to dress up on special days along with the kids, like Red Ribbon Week. My "Jack Sparrow" look is a work in progress as I cut my long hair recently and donated it to Wigs for Kids. I am a supporter of helping our community however we can.

Let the fun begin! 🎉

Mrs. Susette Flores (Bilingual Teacher)

Hello Marlins!

My name is Susette Flores and I am very excited about beginning the 2023-2024 school year with your scholars. I am very grateful to be teaching Fourth Grade Bilingual this year. I know with all their hard work and my guidance, partnered with your support, our scholars will be successful in all they do.  Some facts about myself are that I have been teaching for 14 years and I have taught grades K-6th and enjoyed all of them. I am from Houston, Texas and graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown with a Bachelor’s degree in Bilingual Education and a Masters degree from the University of Saint Thomas. I have two adult children, one teenager, and a fifth grader that I love traveling with and spending time watching baseball games. I love teaching scholars in the bilingual program. It has allowed me the opportunity to meet children from different cultures within the Latino community and together we all become one in the classroom.

I can not wait to begin this school year and make new memories with your scholars!

¡Hola Marlines!
