Welcome to the 2021-22 school year in Spring ISD!
I’m excited about what is ahead for our Spring ISD community as we continue to put the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic behind us. We have worked hard over the past 17 months to ensure we have the right programs, staff and resources to truly reap a harvest.
First and foremost, we’re embarking on a traditional school schedule this year with all students learning in-person. And, as I write this, we will not be requiring masks or social distancing, unless guidance changes from our local health officials.
As a parent and educator, I’m excited about everything that will be possible this year for our children as we open up all of our amenities, programs and school activities. Learn more...

2021-2022 School Hours
Some schools operate on a staggered schedule to reduce the number of buses needed to transport students. Getting your children to school on time is important to a successful school year.

2021-2022 School Supplies
The school supplies your child needs are listed here. Lists are also available at area retailers that sell school supplies.

Good Nutrition is Essential for Learning
Healthy food fuels better learning for students. For the 2021-22 school year, Spring ISD will offer free breakfast and free lunch to ALL students in every school, along with free supper to students involved in after-school programs at many of our campuses.
-
New ZPASS System to Add Safety & Convenience
Spring ISD is introducing a new scanner system ZPASS on all of its buses for the 2021-22 school year that will give added peace of mind to parents by allowing them to know when and where their student gets on and off the bus.

Safety is Our Priority
Safety is Spring ISD’s top priority, so during times of crisis or emergency, it’s important we communicate effectively. To do that, we use the Standard Response Protocol, which provides a common language that everyone understands and follows.
-
EVERY Day Counts, ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
Students can’t learn if they aren’t in class, so being in attendance every day is critical to success. Spring ISD policy, in alignment with state compulsory attendance laws, requires students to be in attendance for at least 90 percent of the time a class is in session to receive credit.
-
Healthy Students Make Great Learners
We have nurses on every campus to triage any emergency situations and to administer medicines. They also work with parents to ensure all of our students are up-to-date on their required vaccinations and have the information they need to make decisions about recommended vaccines.

Our Mobile App Makes it Easy to Stay Informed
Spring ISD has had a mobile app available for parents and students for several years. But if you haven’t downloaded it yet from Google Play or Apple’s App Store, you’ll want to do it TODAY!
