Welcome to the 2019-20 school year in Spring ISD. We are very excited about everything that’s on the horizon this year.
First and foremost, we’re launching new tools to help us better serve our families. These improvements include an online registration process for both new and returning students. That means no more mountains of paperwork to fill out and return. Instead, families can take care of this process at their convenience, using a smartphone or computer to get it done. We’ve included more information about the change in this booklet and on our website at www.springisd.org/register.
Also this school year, we’re relaunching our mobile app with updates that will create a more personalized and streamlined experience for our families. Learn more...
The Spring ISD announced school hours for the 2019-20 school year, including slight changes to the current schedule for 12 elementary schools. The schedules for the other 14 elementary schools, high schools and middle schools will remain the same, with a few exceptions.
Our new and improved mobile app features a personalized experience so parents and guardians can easily use their smartphone to access important student information, including: assignments, classes, grades, cafeteria balance, attendance, library fines and more!
We’re committed to providing safe bus transportation to all students who live one mile or more from their zoned campus of attendance, as measured by the nearest commonly traveled public roadway. Because safety is so important, we’ve also upgraded our bus fleet and added three-point seat belts.
This year, we’re also taking additional steps to ensure our students don’t go hungry. Spring ISD already offers free breakfast to all students in every school. In addition, through a special federal program, students who attend many of our schools are able to eat free lunch.
