Superintendent's Message

  • Lupita Hinojosa, Ed.D., Superintendent of Schools

It brings me great joy to welcome all of our Spring ISD students and families to the 2022-23 school year!

In Spring ISD, we are committed first and foremost to the success of our students and to doing what’s best for them. Throughout our district, you’ll find passionate educators working each day to help ensure excellent, equitable outcomes for all of our students – including helping them overcome the difficulties faced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The past few years have been challenging, and we know we still have work to do to successfully re-engage every student and reconnect them with the tools needed to reach their potential. But we are committed to regaining that ground, to moving forward, and to empowering our students to achieve their best.

My parents were immigrants to the United States, and they believed that education meant opportunity. Education transformed my family’s life, and ever since beginning my own career as a teacher, I’ve wanted to make sure others have access to that opportunity.

The learning that happens every day on our campuses and in our classrooms is truly at the heart of everything we do as a district. For me, as superintendent, it’s that learning and those vital interactions between teachers and students that I work each day to support and nurture.

From our traditional zoned campuses, to our innovative specialty programs, to exciting new developments like our brand-new Momentum High School, it truly is a great time to study, learn, and grow right here in Spring ISD.

I’m excited to be a part of Spring ISD, and to be in a position to help guide our district and its extraordinary young people into the future.
