Superintendent's Message

  • Lupita Hinojosa, Ed.D., Superintendent of Schools

To all our Spring ISD families, a warm and joyful welcome to the 2023-24 school year! Summer has flown by, and all of us here at Spring ISD are excited to welcome students back for the start of the new school year.

From our neighborhood campuses – featuring a variety of specialty programs and career pathways – to our growing selection of award-winning schools of choice, Spring ISD brings you the best in public education offerings, ready to meet the needs of each and every scholar in our district.

The theme we’re focusing on this year is The Power of You – the power of each member of our community to accomplish great things and make a difference in the lives of others. That includes our incredible teachers, principals and campus staff, as well as those working across Spring ISD to support learning – from cafeteria staff and bus drivers, to police officers and maintenance workers, to curriculum specialists and student support services providers. All of us, no matter our role, are here to ensure that every student has access to quality instruction, in a safe and secure school environment, each and every day.

In Spring ISD, we believe in every student’s potential to be successful, to thrive in academics and extracurriculars, and to graduate from high school ready for whatever path they choose. This past year, our graduates earned over $95 million in scholarships and will be attending 85 colleges and universities across the U.S., from West Point to Harvard, USC and the University of Texas, to name a few.

Here in Spring ISD, we know who we are and what our students are capable of. We know great things are happening every day in schools across the district, and we believe that even more amazing things are on the horizon, if we will only continue to believe in each other, believe in our community, and believe in our students.

As we say in Spanish, “Celebremos Spring!” We celebrate Spring, and we celebrate the potential of every student to achieve excellence. It’s an exciting time in our district, and we’re glad that you’re a part of it. As the Super-Proud Superintendent of Spring ISD, I wish you and your family every success in the upcoming school year!
