• Deferred Maintenance Projects

Bond 2016 also includes funding for deferred maintenance projects to address some long-standing facility needs. Based on an assessment of all of its schools, the district brought four projects to the board for approval in August 2018, totaling about $16 million.

All of the construction will be done by Tellepsen and will include work over weekends and school breaks to minimize disruption to the academic programs at the four schools.

  • Dueitt Middle School

At Dueitt Middle School, up to $4.8 million in work will include a new marquee, hollow metal door and frames, new storefront, the replacement of portions of the acoustical ceiling and new parking and vehicle drives to improve traffic flow.
