    Dear Winship Parents and Guardians:

Welcome to Winship Elementary School. I am so proud to assist in leading our great staff and enthusiastic learners!

As the demands and intricacies of teaching children grow, it becomes evident that we need to work as a team to make sure our children reach their maximum potential. I believe that we must all work in an extended family environment to insure success for all our students.  I believe it is everyone’s responsibility to empower children with the creative, intellectual, and decision-making skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful.

You are invited to be an active participant at Winship Elementary.  Whether you are a classroom volunteer, a member of the PTO, or member of one of our school communities, I encourage you to be involved!  Research clearly demonstrates that parent participation in their child’s education is linked to a greater likelihood of academic success for their child.

I look forward to a rewarding relationship with you and your child(ren).

    Yours in Education,

    Cynthia Vira-Carreon
