    Bailey Middle School

Bailey Middle School was named after Rickey C. Bailey and opened in August of 2006. Mr. Bailey served 15 years on the Spring ISD Board of Trustees beginning in 1982. After retiring from the board in 1998, he continued to volunteer his time and leadership by serving on the Citizens Advisory Board, the bond committee and the Education Foundation Board. Today, Bailey serves more than 1,300 students and is the district’s largest comprehensive middle school, offering students a full range of services and programs.

Improvement Plan

  • Here at Bailey Middle School we’re working hard to build leaders through maximized learning time, data-driven instruction, high-dosage tutoring for scholars who need it, and parent outreach.

We call this having a culture of high expectations and it applies to all of our staff and students.  Also, because we understand that literacy is the foundation for all learning, our teachers will incorporate literacy lessons in math, science and social studies classes.

We are also talking to our students about always being their Bailey BEST. Check out this video for more information on how students should apply their Bailey BEST behaviors in the hallways, cafeteria and restrooms.

Homework here at Bailey Middle School will consist of all scholars keeping a reading log to complete every night,  math problems to solve using our problem-solving strategy, and science and social studies content to review.

All of these things — plus more — will drive the way we do things here at Bailey Middle School this school year.
