Dear Bobcat Country,

It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction as the new Assistant Principal of Burchett Elementary School. I am incredibly grateful and excited to join the Bobcat Family! I look forward to working with each of you to continue the work of providing high-quality academic instruction that meets the needs of all scholars in a positive learning environment.

I began my educational career in 2016. Prior to joining Burchett Elementary School, I was an Elementary Instructional Coordinator. Before becoming an administrator, I was a classroom teacher, Department Chair, and Summer School Coordinator. I enjoy the fulfillment as well as the challenges of education. Fostering meaningful relationships that allow me to collaborate with all stakeholders has always been imperative to my success. My educational philosophy is based on my uncompromising belief that all students can learn, given a positive learning environment, strong and knowledgeable leadership, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community, and a supportive family. All of which, Burchett Elementary School possesses.

I received a bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University in 2014. I attended Lamar University where I earned my master's degree in Educational Leadership and received my Administrative Certification in 2021.

I am committed to continuing to prepare scholars to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and responsible citizens by bringing excellence to EVERY scholar, in EVERY classroom, EVERY day here at Burchett Elementary School!
