Welcome To Winship Elementary!

  • Welcome to Our School!

    Our staff is thrilled that each parent has entrusted his/her child’s education to us. We will make every effort to help your child achieve academically and socially. It is our goal to create an enriched, learning environment that engages each student. Of course, we need and welcome your support and cooperation. You play a key role in the academic success of our students; therefore, school/parent communication is vital.

  • Cheerleading Tryouts

    Cheerleading tryouts will be Wednesday, May 22nd, 2019 from 3:30 - 4:45 in the gym.  Please make sure that you have an appropriate change of clothes for tryouts.  (T-shirt, athletic pants/shorts, tennis shoes, and hair up in a ponytail.

    Tryouts will end promptly at 4:45, so it is important that all students are picked up promptly.  Your student will be notified of their acceptance to the squad on Friday, May 24th.

  • 2019-20 Prekindergarten and Kindergarten Round-up and Registration

    April 29th - May 3rd

    All Spring ISD Elementary Campuses

    Monday     April 29     7:30a.m. - 3:30p.m.

    Tuesday    April 30     10:00a.m. - 7:00p.m.

    Wednesday    May 1    7:30a.m. - 3:30p.m.

    Thursday    May 2    10:00a.m. - 7:00p.m.

    Friday    May 3    7:30a.m. - 3:30p.m.

    Pre-K is for students who will be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2019 and meet Texas Education Agency eligibility requirements.

    Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2019 to enroll in Kindergarten.

    For the safety of our students and staff during arrival and dismissal, please refrain from talking and texting while in the drop off and dismissal car line. We appreciate your support!

    Reminder: the West Staff Parking lot is not to be used as a drop off or pick-up zone since we do not provide staff members to ensure student safety. We appreciate your cooperation with this.

    2018 - 2019 New Student Registration 

    If your family is new to the district and needs to register a pre-kindergartener through 5th grade student please come by the school  to pick up a registration packet.   Please call the school at 281-891-8210 for hours.


    Items needed to Register:

    • Certified copy of birth certificate or passport.
    • Current immunization record signed by a physician or physician’s designee.
    • Proof of residence in the Spring ISD attendance zone. An original lease/mortgage agreement, and water, natural gas, or electric bills are acceptable.
    • Social Security card. If not available, the student will be assigned a State ID number.
    • Legal guardian’s Texas driver’s license or Texas Department of Transportation identification card. If the parent or guardian does not have a Texas driver’s license or a TxDOT ID card, other photo ID will be considered in combination with a birth certificate.
    • Most recent report card and withdrawal form from previous school, if applicable.

    **Kindergarten students must be 5 years of age or older on or before September 1, 2018 to register and PK students must be 4 or older on or before Sept. 1, 2018

    ** PK ONLY - Please provide proof of income for every

    household member (adult)
