Parent Awareness Meetings and Roundtables

  • Parent Awareness Meetings

Parent Awareness Meetings were created to provide Spring ISD parents an opportunity to gain an understanding of the district's Advanced Academics and Gifted and Talented Programs. Additionally, the G/T Parent Awareness Meetings  provide an overview of the common myths regarding giftedness and the district's G/T Assessment and Identification Timeline for the current school year. In order to connect with more parents, virtual and in-person sessions will be offered. The sessions will be offered in both English and Spanish

    Parent Roundtables

Spring ISD's Advanced Academics Department is pleased to offer Parent Roundtable sessions to provide participants with general information on supporting a gifted child. Topics will include common characteristics of giftedness as well as characteristics of giftedness among English Language  Learners and Special Education children. Participants will learn methods for supporting their child both academically and socially at home and at school.  All sessions will be offered in both English and Spanish. All parents are invited to attend.
