Hello,
I am Jonique Morris.  I am excited to be the Campus Academic Specialist at Thompson Elementary for the 22 -23 school year. 

I oversee PBIS and I am the GT Testing Coordinator.   I am very passionate about students and believe in advocating for them.  This year starts my 28th year in education.  I have previously been a classroom teacher, Dyslexia Specialist, Instructional Specialist, Transition Liaison, Testing Coordinator, and Academic Specialist.  I am a native of Tyler,Texas, the Rose Capital of the World.

I graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Reading Education.  I have also completed  the Principal Preparation Program at Stephen F. Austin State University.  I am a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.  This year I hope to continue the tradition at Thompson by making a difference and improving the educational journey. Looking forward to a successful year!
