Mrs. L. Jones has been a member of the Claughton Middle School staff since  the 2012-2013 school year.  Before becoming a counselor at CMS  Mrs, Jones held the position of Co-Teacher and SILC teacher in the special education department.  This school year will be Mrs. Jones’ 7^th as a counselor and 16th year in Education.  Mrs. Jones has her Master’s degree in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University and she is also a certified Life Coach.  Mrs. Jones’ goal is to assist students with conflict resolution through mediation; to support teachers with student academic success, promoting positive mental health of students and staff; and to serve as a liaison between the school and our community.
