ARTS INTEGRATION
-
In Spring ISD, teachers are empowered to embrace the arts integrated approach to teaching, in which students construct and demonstrate learning through an art form. Led by the Department of Performing and Visual Arts, our district dedicates the resources and support necessary to allow students to engage in learning at the highest level of creativity and synthesis. This creative process connects an art form and another subject area or need and meets evolving objectives in both. Starting in grades K-2, students engage with their core content through visual art, dance, theatre, or music. The arts integrated approach is a research-based strategy that has proven results in improving student outcomes.
