Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving!  This is your weekly message from Principal Kimberly. The weeks that we are in school between Thanksgiving Break and Winter break are extremely busy.  We have Benchmark testing for Alg I, Eng I, II, Biology and US History the week of Nov. 26. The Parent Partnership with the Principal is Nov. 29 at 9:00 in the Media Center. The week of Dec. 3 is EOC retest and the week of Dec 10 is LSC final exam week.  SECA's final exams are on Dec. 13, 14, 17 and 18.  The student's last day of school prior to the Winter Break is Dec. 18. It is extremely important that your student is at school EVERYDAY from now until the end of the semester.  Having to make up test and/or work at the end of the semester is very overwhelming. Seniors: You must have your senior portrait taken by Dec. 8 at 5:00 PM.  You need to contact Prestige Portraits at 281-897-8300 to schedule your appointment.  The basic pose for the yearbook is free of charge.Happy Thanksgiving! Again, this is a message for Principal KImberly.

Good morning Alpha Parents!  This is Principal Kimberly calling with your weekly message.  The students had great fun this week with Homecoming activities. Saturday November 10 kicks off our recruitment for incoming Freshmen for the 2019-2020 school year.  We are hosting Parent Information Meetings at Lone Star College in the Conference Center. The students will be taking Checkpoints next week and continuing to work with Mrs. Hill for course selections for the Spring semester. The Class of 2020 is hosting Movie night on Thursday November 15 from 6:00-8:00 here at SECA.  Lastly, the Seniors will be taking the ASVAB test on Friday November 16.  Even though this test is proctored by the Military it is NOT a test to show interest in joining a military branch or any commitment in any way. It is a test that shows the student what their strengths and weaknesses are and what field of work they might have interests in. We need all Seniors to plan on being here on time to participate!  Have a great week! Again, this is Principal Kimberly with your weekly update.
