Early Learning Academy for Teen Parents
The Purpose of Early Childhood Education is to provide students with job skills for future careers in education using internships and the Early Learning Academy as an on-site lab school.
A goal of the program is for the high school students to plan developmentally appropriate activities and to teach all children. Therefore, the hours of the Early Learning Academy for Teen Parents are:
- 6:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at Westfield
The Early Learning Academy buses observe these times. Students providing their own transportation must observe Academy hours as well as arrival at school on time.
The Early Learning Academy is open to children of students attending classes in the Spring Independent School District. The Academy is accepting applications from teen parents who wish to enroll their child in the program at the Westfield High School campus.
The center will admit children beginning at 6 weeks of age. Please contact the Director for any questions concerning the program.
