  • Would you like to be a part of the School Health Advisory Board?

    Consider Joining SHAC

A School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is a group appointed by the school district to serve at the district level. Members of the SHAC come from different areas of the community and from within the school district. The majority of members must be parents who are not employed by the district. Texas law (Texas Education Code, Title 2, Subtitle F, Chapter 28, Subchapter A, $28.004) requires the establishment of a SHAC for every school district. SHACs are required to meet at least four times each year.

Please let us know if you would like to be a parent representative for Winship.

  • Spring ISD introduces Online Registration for New and Returning Students.

New students will still need to gather important paperwork to complete the process, including the child's birth certificate, proof of residency in Spring ISD, immunization records and social security card, if available. Required documents can be delivered to the student’s campus between July 29 and Aug. 9, or submitted during the district’s Back to School Expo on Saturday, July 27 at Dekaney High School.

The online system for returning students is now open and parents are able to complete an annual update for their enrolled students using a snapcode that is being emailed and sent by letter to their home address. This gives the opportunity to check that their contact information — including phone number and email address — is correct so that they can receive important messages throughout the school year, such as notifications sent out in the case of severe weather, school closures or emergencies. The online system will also simplify the registration process for families with multiple children in the district.
