    Dear Parents/Guardians:

It is that time of the year! I want to welcome our new and returning families to the 2023-2024 school year. I hope you and your families had a peaceful and relaxing Summer break. As we gear up for the new school year, please make sure you update your child's registration information for the new school year. Please mark the following important dates on your calendar: 6th-grade orientation is scheduled for Thursday, August 3, 2023, and 7th and 8th-grade orientation is scheduled for Monday August 7, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.

This school year, our goal is to improve student performance on the state assessment STAAR, close achievement gaps, create a safe learning environment for teachers and students, and improve parental engagement. We need your help to make this a reality by living out our core values of P.R.I.D.E. and working as an influential learning community.

Finally, the first day of school is August 10, 2023. I am excited to be a part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic, social, and emotional growth. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with me at 281-891-7950 or email rlouis@springisd.org.

    Sincerely,

    Rodney Louis
