What is a Career Academy?
A career academy is a small learning community comprised of students and staff members. These learning communities, career focused and academically challenging, prepare students equally for college and the workforce. Key academy concepts include the integration of core academic curriculum with the career pathway as well as taking career courses in a coherent sequence that fosters skill development and leads to industry-recognized certifications.
What is a Career Pathway?

These career pathways are further enriched by a strategic collaboration with their corresponding business community, and students are provided with numerous opportunities to interact with those professionals via fieldtrips, guest speakers, job shadows and internships. Students are also encouraged to participate in the Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO) that supports their career pathway. These CTSOs also give students the opportunity to compete against other schools, as well as to improve their leadership skills.
