    WHS CTE Fashion Program Produces 1st Fashion Show

    Congratulations to Ms. Hope Greer, our CTE Fashion and Design Teacher, along with her students, who presented a fabulous and successful fashion show on April 29, 2019. The Fashion and Design Career Pathway offers students the opportunity to learn critical skills, such as pattern design and pattern fitting, garment production, and art of mastering the color wheel for proper high fashion color schemes.  The efforts of the students have been outstanding and their peers loved the show.  Thanks to all who attended and for your support of our program.  We are looking forward to the fashion show being an annual event.

    Congratulations to WHS Band!

    The Varsity Wind Ensemble and the Non-Varsity Symphonic Band both received first division superior ratings from all 6 judges both on stage and sight-reading.
    Our Mustangs received the UIL Band Program Sweepstakes award for the 2018-19 school year from the UIL Marching Contest in the Fall and at this contest.

    WHS Recognizes Student Missionary Trip to AFrica

    Westfield recognizes one of its students, A. Barraza, for her missionary trip to Africa.  A.Barraza visited different African schools and orphanages and ministered to the children.  She paid for several orphans to attend school.  Westfield High School is proud of A. Barraza and delighted that she is part of the Mustang Nation!

    Indoor Color Guard & Indoor Percussion

    Congratulations to the WHS Color Guard placed 3rd in an area qualifer and will be going to state championships at College Station, Texas. The WHS Indoor Percussion placed 1st in tha area qualifer and will also be going to state championship in College Sation, Texas on April 6th.

    Congratulations to the WHS Robotic Team!

    The Westfield Robotics Team competed in the BEST Robotics Urban STEM competition at South Early College High School. Eighteen school began the competition six weeks ago, but only eleven schools from acrosss the city of Houston were capable of building a remote-controlled robot and having them complete tasks in round-robin style contests.

    Our Robotics team placed sixth in their first competition out of 18 schools.  In addition, the team won Rookie of the Year.

    Parking permits are sold before (6:30 am to 7:00 am) and after school (2:30 am to 3:00 pm). Student vehicles without paid parking permit decals that are on record and/or parked in a non-designated parking area will subject to vehicle towing and applicable discipline consequences.

    Students at 31 district schools this year will be able to eat both breakfast and lunch for free, thanks to the expansion of a federal program.
