Burchett Parents, Guardians and Students,
I have important and exciting news to share. Tonight at the Board of Trustees meeting, Superintendent Dr. Rodney Watson introduced Yvette Casas as our new principal at Burchett Elementary School.
A veteran educator with 17 years experience, Ms Casas came to Spring ISD in 2012 from Cypress Ridge High School in Cypress Fairbanks ISD, where she served as a classroom teacher. Prior to that role, she served as a classroom teacher at Aldine Senior High School. Since coming to Spring, she spent two years at Bammel Middle School as an assistant principal and is currently in her fourth year as the assistant principal at Reynolds Elementary School.
Ms. Casas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Sam Houston State University and her Master of Education degree in administration and supervision from the University of Houston.
She is excited about joining the Bobcat family and bringing her years of experience in education from all three grade levels to Burchett. We are planning a new principal meet and greet soon, so please watch your email and the campus website for your invitation.
As always, thank you for your support of Burchett Elementary School.
Sincerely,
Michelle Starr
Assistant Superintendent
