• Car Rider Procedures

To abide by traffic laws and to provide safety and security to the children of Twin Creeks Middle School and local residents, we have worked collaboratively with law enforcement and community members to refresh arrival and dismissal procedures.  The following procedures went into effect, August 17 at the start of the 2017-2018 school year and will continue for this school year 2018-2019.  These procedures were changed to promote safety and security for our students and community members.  As a result, the traffic patterns for student drop-off and pick-up have changed, and we need your immediate cooperation.

Morning Arrival -Students being dropped off by a vehicle:

Before the start of school, students will be dropped off at the main entrance doors located at the front of the building.  Students should not be dropped off before 8:15 am and should enter the building upon arrival.  Students cannot exit vehicles while on Old Cypresswood Drive.

Morning Arrival- Students walking to school

Students should not arrive before 8:15 am and should enter the building upon arrival.

Afternoon Dismissal -Students being picked up by a vehicle:

Parents and guardians will need to enter the Twin Creeks Middle School parking lot and pick up children at the front of the school.  Cars will be required to enter the pick-up line in the parking lot and not park and wait on Old Cypresswood or the parking lot.  All car-riding students will wait at the front of the school for the arrival of their vehicle through the pick-up line.  For safety reasons, the school will not have students cross the parking lot or lawn to meet a ride parked outside the pick-up line. All students must be picked up by 4:30 p.m. unless they are with a coach or teacher.

Vehicles will not be permitted to park on streets, and this will be strictly enforced by the Spring ISD Police Department.  At no time, may a parent park illegally or block traffic on Old Cypresswood Drive.  Any person or vehicle that violates this will be subject to traffic violations strictly enforced by the Spring ISD Police Department.

Afternoon Dismissal - Students walking home

A staff member will escort walking students to the crosswalk on Old Cypresswood Drive.

The safety and security of your children is our number one concern.  For the new procedures to run safely and smoothly, parents and students will have to adjust and adhere to the new procedures.  Please contact us if you have any questions regarding arrival and dismissal procedures.
