Mrs. Shalynndrea Sterling-Teel
Mrs. Shalynndrea Sterling- Teel has more than 13 years of experience in education and has served in multiple roles. In 2014, she united with Spring ISD and served as a District Development Specialist. Although great impact was made in her role, Mrs. Sterling-Teel made the decision to work primarily with one campus and joined the Wells family as the accountability specialist in 2015. Mrs. Sterling-Teel supported Wells as the Accountability Specialist for one year and her exemplar qualities of professionalism and utilization of data driven decisions, along with many other distinguished qualities, proved her to be the best candidate to take on her current role of assistant principal – a position she has passionately upheld for the past two years. Prior to joining Spring ISD, she served Beaumont ISD and West Orange-Stark CCISD school districts. Roles held include math teacher, numeracy coach, math coach, and academic coordinator.
Mrs. Sterling-Teel holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Walden University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Lamar University. In addition to being a certified Texas Principal, Mrs. Sterling-Teel is certified as a 4-8 Mathematics/Science educator. As an educational forerunner, her passion is to continually produce and enhance colleagues with the goal to ensure students have opportunities to an education that is customized, rich, and relevant in order to be successful 21st century innovators. Mrs. Sterling-Teel believes positive shifts and gains in education are made by establishing and maintaining healthy relationships with students, teachers, parents, and all stakeholders involved.
In her free time, Mrs. Sterling-Teel enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She is a huge football fan with her two favorite teams being the Westfield Mustangs and the Arizona State Sun Devils. Mrs. Sterling-Teel also enjoys going to the beach, traveling, and watching Law and Order.
