Mr. Ivan Kerguelen
Ivan Kerguelen (Mr. K.) will serve at the 8th Grade Counselor for the 2018-19 school year. I've been a school counselor at the middle and high school level in Austin, Dallas and Houston since 1991 and a Wells Wolverine since 2014. I was also the Secondary School Associate for ACT (college admissions test) at the Texas/Southwest Regional Office in Austin, TX.
My parents are from Colombia (I'm bilingual) and I was raised in Miami, FL and Houston, TX. I received a B.A. in Spanish Literature/History from the University of Houston/Main Campus and a M.Ed. in Counseling from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. I'm also a member of the Texas Counseling Association (TCA) and the Texas School Counselor Association (TSCA). In my free time, I'm an avid reader and I love team sports.
Middle school can come with new challenges and obstacles. My goal is to help students navigate through the academic, social and personal challenges and obstacles they may be faced with during their middle school experience
