In 1965, Bammel Elementary was the first school built on the west side of the district and the second elementary in the District. Bammel Elementary School and Bammel Middle School were named for the Charley Bammel Family, some of the earliest pioneers to the FM 1960 area. A two-story replacement school was built at the site and opened in 2010.

Bammel Elementary serves students pre-K through 5th grade.

The school day runs from 7:55 a.m. through 3:15 p.m.

Students are allowed to enter the school after 7:30 a.m.
