Spring ISD Police Department
We are charged with ensuring the safety of the staff, the structures, and most importantly our students. We can not achieve our mission without the help of the community, other administrators, the campuses, and our parents. We honor this noble calling and strive to be a force multiplier in assisting our students in achieving their academic goals. We are prepared to utilize innovative school-based law enforcement practices, so we can help create a positive learning environment for our students. This plan is designed to meet and exceed the standards set by the President’s Task Force for 21st Century Youth-Focused Policing.
The Department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with the help of 64 licensed police officers, 7 police dispatchers, 3 civilian workers, and 25 crossing guards under the direction of Spring ISD Police Chief Ken Culbreath. Some of the officers are assigned to various schools, patrol duties, or communications, while others work as truancy officers, investigators, or canine officers.
Service, Collaboration, Accountability and Respect
The Police Department will lead the way by valuing Service, Collaboration, Accountability and Respect. We will monitor our success daily on how well our output aligns with the District’s mission.
