Welcome Message

  • LaToya Patterson - Principal

My name is LaToya Patterson, and I am proud to serve as the new principal of Hirsch Elementary. I was once a Hirsch Hawk and sat in the very same classrooms as your child. It is an extreme honor and privilege to return to the school and community I once called home.

The last couple of years were difficult on us all as we navigated new terrain with the Covid-19 pandemic. Our students found a way to persevere through challenges we could have never imagined, and I am proud of the hard work and accomplishments of the students, teachers and staff of Hirsch Elementary over the last school year. I truly believe in the transformative power of education to
uplift both our families and community, and look forward to partnering with you this upcoming school year.

Our theme for the year, Learning to Fly, comes from the book The Year We Learned to Fly by Jacqueline Woodson. This story is a powerful testament to the power of your mind to uplift you and to give you the strength to persevere. I’m excited to see our hawks take to the sky and soar in 2022-2023.

    Estimados padres y familias:

     www.scholastic.com/bf/pearlmhirschelemschool
