Greetings, and hello Gator families!
My name is Juliana Burk. I am from Houston, Texas. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Education. This will be my sixth year in education as a teacher. I taught Kindergarten for three years and this will be my third year teaching first grade.
I am passionate about spending time outdoors walking or jogging. I cherish time with my son, family and my dog, Remmy.
I am looking forward to being part of the “Gator Family.” I cannot wait to meet my students and watch their bright lights shine! I am so passionate about this year as your first grade teacher.

Mr. Rodney Jackson
Rodney Jackson is a highly accomplished professional with over two decades of exemplary leadership in the field of law enforcement. Rising from a patrol officer to the esteemed rank of Captain, he retired from the Detroit Police Department after 25 years of service. Throughout his career, Rodney was recognized for his professionalism and expertise in various roles.
In his free time, Rodney’s greatest enjoyment was as a high school football coach. Coaching fulfilled his passion to mentor, develop and inspire our youth. This deep desire to impact young lives has led Rodney to education where he can transition his leadership and mentorship skills.
Rodney’s journey from law enforcement to education exemplifies his unwavering commitment to serving his community in meaningful ways. As an elementary school educator, Rodney has a patient and engaging teaching style, dedication to excellence, and a genuine care for his students’ well-being. Rodney seeks to empower and inspire young minds, instilling in them the values of compassion, resilience, and the pursuit of knowledge.

Ms. Brittney Wade
Hello, my name is Brittney Wade. I am a Houston native. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design. I have a passion for serving/teaching others, fashion, all things organizing, and arts and crafts. I am an avid foodie and love trying new cuisines. In my spare time, I love going to the movies, museums, concerts, and traveling. I also enjoy spending time with my family and two dogs.
This is my second year in education and with Spring ISD. My first year I had the privilege of working as the Literacy Interventionist at Hoyland ES for grades K-2. This year I will be teaching first grade at Anderson. I am so thrilled to be a part of the Gator family. I am excited to meet my students and see what fun things we will learn this school year!

Mrs. Adriana Suljic, Bilingual Teacher
Hello, I am Adriana Suljic. I am very happy to come back to Anderson to be the 1st grade Math and Science bilingual teacher. I grew up in Bogota, Colombia and I graduated from college with a bachelor of Microbiology. I came to the United States 20 years ago and this is my fourteenth year teaching bilingual students. I love spending time with my family and friends, riding my bike outdoors, swimming, and reading. I live with my husband Sani, my 11 year old son Benjamin and my dog Fluffy. I look forward to being your kid’s teacher and seeing their growth.
Hola, mi nombre es Adriana Suljic y soy maestra bilingüe de matemáticas y ciencias de primer grado en la escuela Anderson. Crecí en Bogotá, Colombia y me gradué de la Universidad con una carrera en Microbiología. Llegué a los Estados Unidos hace 20 años. Llevo 14 años enseñando, de los cuales 5 han sido en Anderson. Estoy casada y tengo un hijo de 11 años llamado Benjamín y un lindo perro blanco llamado Fluffy. En mi tiempo libre me gusta compartir con mi familia y amigos, me gusta nadar, montar en bicicleta y leer. Estoy emocionada de ser la maestra de su hijo/a porque una de mis mejores recompensas como maestra es ver la motivación del estudiante por el aprendizaje y por mejorar para tener éxito académico y personal.
