Mrs. Nicole Gutierrez, ELAR Teacher
Hi! My name is Nicole Gutierrez. I graduated from Lone Star College with an Associate of Arts degree and the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Teaching and Learning. This will be my 11th year teaching in Spring ISD. I taught one year of kindergarten, eight years of first grade and one year of fifth grade. I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach third grade this year!
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling. I love shopping, watching Netflix and going to the beach.
This will be a fun filled year with a lot of learning and growing. I am so excited you will be in my class and I can't wait to meet you!

Miss Dylanlea Shaftner, Math & Science Teacher
Hello! My name is Dylanlea Shaftner and I am so excited about starting my first year of teaching at Anderson Elementary! I recently graduated from Sam Houston University with a Bachelor's degree in May. I was an Anderson Gator myself from 1st grade through 5th grade. I then attended Dueitt Middle School and graduated from Spring High School in 2019.
I have a wonderful and supportive family who have always encouraged me in everything I want to do. Teaching is the only thing that I have ever felt passionate about. I am so excited to finally be here and be a part of your students' educational journey!

Ms. Earlkisha Mayberry, Math & Science Teacher
Hello Gator Family and Friends! My name is Ms. Mayberry and I am so excited to welcome you all to third grade and to the best grade on campus. I am a graduate of Westfield High School here in Spring ISD and I received my Bachelor’s and Master's degrees from Lamar University and Stephen F. Austin State University. This will be my fourth year teaching, but my fifth year working at Anderson. Prior to teaching full-time, I worked in higher education for 7 years before returning to Houston as a substitute teacher for 2 years. I am a proud Houstonian and a huge supporter of my hometown teams: the Astros, Rockets and Texans.
I believe that everyone can learn something. It may come in their own time and on their own ability, but with guidance and support they will soar. My students are the future and I can not wait to see what heights they reach this year.

Mr. Humberto Romero, Bilingual Teacher
Hello, I'm Mr. Romero and this is my 13th year in the elementary school setting. I graduated from Universidad Panamericana in Monterrey Nuevo Leon Mexico. During college, I taught part time English at Quick Learning School in Monterrey where I immediately fell in love with the vocation of teaching.
I am an avid cyclist, runner and reader. My favorite books are historical fiction. I have two dachshunds, a 7 year old senior and a 5 month old puppy who likes to sleep and play all day. My son, daughter, and wife enjoy hiking, camping, and exploring. I look forward to an incredible year full of success and learning!
