Mrs. Amy Carbo, Student Support Specialist
Hello there! My name is Amy Carbo and the 2023-2024 school year will be my 22nd year at Anderson. I am "home grown" right here in Spring. I attended Winship and Smith Elementaries, Twin Creeks Middle School and graduated from Spring High. I received my Bachelor's degree from Baylor University. I was recruited into a large retail corporation during college where I ran my own store and was the district operations manager for a while before I began my teaching experience at Anderson. I taught 4th grade for several years before I became the Instructional Specialist with a focus on math. Currently, I am serving as the Student Support Specialist. My responsibilities include all DPM referrals, RtI facilitator, monitoring At Risk students, math intervention, and campus testing support.
I am married and have four children ages 9 to 22... they keep me on my toes along with all my Anderson gators.

Mrs. Allison Culbertson, Campus Academic Specialist
I am excited to leap into my 23rd year in Spring ISD. I have really enjoyed my journey in education. I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education from Southwest Texas State University (now known as Texas State) and my Masters in Educational Administration from Lamar University. I've taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade for 16 years in Spring ISD. I have also served as the literacy coach for 2 years, a reading interventionist for 1 year, and academic specialist for a year. This year, I will be the Campus Academic Specialist and Testing Coordinator for Anderson.
My 2 sons both attended Anderson and are now attending Spring High School. My husband teaches and coaches at Twin Creeks Middle School. Most of my free time is spent on the baseball field and football field. I have 2 dogs that I adore and I love spending time with my family. My hope is to support the students and teachers to create an engaging learning environment.

Mrs. Maria Leon, EL Coordinator
Hi, my name is Maria Leon and I am the specialist and coordinator for our emerging bilingual students. It's a privilege to work closely with teachers, students and parents served under the bilingual and ESL programs.
Like many others, I came to this country at the age of 6 and had the opportunity to study and receive my education through the services of the bilingual program. I have 17 years of experience as a teacher, 12 of which have been here at Anderson. My desire is to attend to and see our groups in the Bilingual & ESL programs up close.
I have been married to Antonio for 21 years. We have four children: Benjamin - 17, Karissa - 15, Janeth - 7, David - 5, and of course, our pet, Toby. Every year we try to vacation as a family, but going to Mexico every year has become a tradition.
¡Hola!
