Tibetan Music Zen Meditation

Surely you’ve heard of meditation before.  According to scientists, meditation is an ancient practice, but scientists are still discovering all of its benefits. Brain researchers have found that regular meditation actually changes your brain in ways that can help you to control emotions, enhance concentration, decrease stress, and even become more connected to those around you.  Who wouldn’t benefit from all of those things? Some people say that meditation works on the brain like exercise works on the body.

Today you are going to listen to some Tibetan meditation music and create a list of words that describe that music to you, remember that these descriptive words are called adjectives.  

Watch the video "What is an Adjective?" to get a refresher.

Now that you are finished listening to the Tibetan music, take out a sheet of notebook paper. Write your name, date, and grade on the first three lines.

  1. Title your paper Tibetan Meditation Music.

  2. Create a list of words that describe the music that you just listened to.

  3. Now write a paragraph explaining how the music made you feel and give examples.
