Read the following article.

After reading the article with your parents discuss and illustrate the
famous Pink River Dolphin its unique habitat and ecosystem that allows it to
thrive in the freshwater of the Amazon River, instead of saltwater like it’s
cousins in the oceans. After your research write down on a 3x5 card a few
facts about what has caused it to become an endangered species. Make a
list of the habits humans can change to keep this beautiful dolphin from
extinction.


Grades 3-5

Read the following article.

After reading the article’s and watching the video on the Pink River
Dolphin write a research paper on the endangerment of the Pink River
Dolphin. Be sure to include the developing research scientists are doing to
keep this beautiful mammal from extinction.


Grades 6-8

Read the articles and then use the prompt to create a product relating to the article.

Each student in the class can draw a picture or write a sentence that represents some of the impacts humans have on the Amazon River. The pieces dangling from the string should be pictures, sentences and words.
