Lieutenant
Lieutenant Robert Tyler graduated from the Lone Star College Law Enforcement Academy and began his career in law enforcement in September 2000 with the Spring Independent School District Police Department. Lieutenant Tyler has worked in various areas such as Campus Operation, Patrol Operation, and Special Response Team (SRT). In 2010, Lieutenant Tyler was promoted to the rank of Corporal and in 2015 was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. In 2020, Lieutenant Tyler was promoted to lieutenant.
Lieutenant Tyler has earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Degree from Lamar University and holds his Master Peace Officer Certification, Telecommunications Operator License, Crime Prevention Inspector Certification, CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event) Train the Trainer, Standard Response Protocol Train the Trainer, ERASE Train the Trainer (Exterior Response to Active Shooter Event) Train the Trainer Certified Field Training Officer, ALERRT Instructor and is a TCOLE Basic Police Instructor, FBI- LEEDA Trilogy Recipient Award , and completed Leadership of North Houston Alumni Class XXVII. Lt. Tyler has been recently accepted into the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas Leadership Command College at Sam Houston State University.
