Lieutenant Andre Jones was born in Houston, Texas where he attended public schools and graduated from Evan E. Worthing High School. In 2013 Jones graduated from the University of Houston Downtown Law Enforcement Academy where he received several academic and physical training commendations and obtained the law enforcement rank as a Peace Officer in December 2013 (BPOC class 272).

Lieutenant Jones began his law enforcement career in 2014 when he joined Precinct 7 Constable department and worked as a reserved deputy on day shift patrol. In April 2015, Jones then joined Spring Independent School District Police Department. He has since worked on multiple campuses and patrol areas of the district. Applying the skills he obtained during his tenure as a police officer, Jones was promoted to Corporal in April 2021 in the Professional Standards and Emergency Management Division. His primary supervision but not limited included Dream Makers Initiative, Emergency Management, Covid -19 Task Force, Truancy and Eastside patrol, and Campus Operations. After his display of leadership, dedication, and accountability he was promoted to Sergeant in May 2022. On August 2023 he was promoted to Lieutenant.

Throughout his career, Lieutenant Jones has collected several specialized training certifications such as Advanced Peace Officer, Field Training Officer, Radar Task Certified, an ALERRT Instructor ,CRASE (Civilian Response Active Shooter Events) Instructor , and Mental Health Officer to name a few.
