Sergeant
Sergeant Laura Robeson has proudly served the Spring ISD Police Department since May 2021. She started as a Detective for the Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and was then promoted to Sergeant in April of 2022. Sergeant Robeson serves as the department’s Houston area ICAC Task Force representative. Sergeant Robeson graduated from the Dallas Police Department Police Academy in June of 2008.
Prior to her service with the Spring ISD Police Department, Sergeant was a Police Officer and Detective for the Dallas Police Department from 2008 to 2019 and an Investigator with the Collin County Sheriff’s Office from 2019 to 2021. At the Dallas Police Department, she was a part of the High Crime Response Team. As a Detective, she was assigned to investigate Homicides, Robberies, Kidnappings, Unlawful Restraints, Child Exploitation, and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC). While working for the Collin County Sheriff’s Office, she was an Investigator in the Crimes Against Children unit, along with the Internet Crimes Against Children unit, where she assisted in building the unit for Collin County.
Sergeant Robeson is bilingual in Spanish and holds a Master Peace Officer License. Additionally, Sergeant Robeson is certified as a TCOLE Basic Instructor, Advanced Criminal Investigations, Background Investigations, Cellphone forensics, Cyber Crimes Investigator, and Basic Computer forensics.
